Similar technologies include local storage (data stored in your browser) and session storage (data stored for the duration of a browser session). This policy covers all such technologies.
2. Cookies we use
Essential cookies
These are necessary for the platform to function. Without them, you cannot log in or use core features. They do not require your consent.

Analytics cookies
We may use privacy-focused analytics tools to understand how visitors use MedCompass. These tools collect anonymised or aggregated data and do not track you across other websites.
We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any advertising cookies. If we introduce analytics that require consent, we will update this policy and request your permission before setting those cookies.
Local storage
The MedCompass app uses browser local storage to save your work in progress (such as draft entries) so that you do not lose data if you navigate away. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers until you save explicitly.
3. Your choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in to MedCompass.

4. Third-party cookies
MedCompass does not currently embed third-party advertising or social media widgets that set cookies. Our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Vercel) may set technical cookies necessary for service delivery.
5. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if we introduce new cookies or tracking technologies. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date and, where required, seeking fresh consent.
